Toxic to all vertebrate and invertebrate hemoglobin animals, including humans. Normally a small amount of oxygen ( in O ) in the presence of carbon ( C, ) materials, such as wood , coal , etc. Carbon monoxide gas is produced by burning. Carbon monoxide is the most unwanted inorganic pollutant.
