Hello Ma'am. I'm Tertho Biswas. Student of level 2 term 2 at DIU . In this term we got a elective course that is Philosophy. As an Architecture student i think Philosophy is needed in Architecture.  Architecture is as art form,  design medium, which really needs practice and much hard work. Philosophy is a word which means the love for wisdom. Love for knowledge. Architecture is a place where we need to deal with form ,space, design, aesthetic, art , problem solving ability and so on. And philosophy is a branch, from where we can get the attitude of seeking knowledge about the place or where i'm in. Many fundamental truths about people, society, culture. Philosophy teaches us how to handle with critical thinking, logical thinking . And these are the parameters which we need in our Architecture life everyday.  So yes i think Philosophy is necessary for Architecture & I hope I will learn many interesting information and can gather precious knowledge from this subject.
