Answer to the question:

Differences in warp and weft knitting are given below-
1. In weft knitting only one set of yarn is used that form courses along the weft-wise direction of the fabric, while in warp knitting many sets of yarns are used coming from the warp-wise direction of the fabric.
2. Warp knitting differs from weft knitting, basically in that each needle loop has its own thread.
3. In warp knitting the needles produce parallel rows of loops simultaneously that are interlocked in a zigzag pattern, while in weft knitting the needles produce loops in the widthwise direction of the fabric.
4. In warp knitting the stitches on the face of the fabric appear vertically, but at a slight angle. While in weft knitting the stitches on the face of fabric appear vertically straight having v-shaped.
5. Warp knits can yield cloth with dimensional stability almost equal in woven fabrics, but in weft knits their very low dimensional stability and fabric can be stretched easily.
6. The production rate of warp knitting is very high than that of weft knitting.
7. Warp knits do not ravel or run and are less susceptible to sagging as compared to weft knits which are easily susceptible to snagging.
8. In weft knitting the needles move in the cams having tracks in a circular direction, while in warp knitting the needles are mounted on a needle board that can only move up and down.

1. In weft knitting machine many number of cone package are placed around to the circular knitting machine but in warp knitting machine 4, 8 beams are placed into the machine.
2. Weft knitting machine is circular but warp knitting machine is like loom structure.
3. From weft knitting machine t-shirt fabric, polo shirt fabric sweater fabric are made but in warp knitting machine net or Jersey fabric are produced.
4. In weft knitting machine cylinder, dial are used but warp knitting machine cylinder and dial are not used.
5. The production rate of warp knitting is very high than that of weft knitting.

Dial and cylinder are used in weft knitting.

4.In warp beam used for yarn supply

but, in weft cone or cheese can be used for yarn supply

1. In weft knitting machine many number of cone package are placed around to the circular knitting machine but in warp knitting machine 4, 8 beams are placed into the machine.

3. From weft knitting machine t-shirt fabric, polo shirt fabric sweater fabric are made but in warp knitting machine net or Jersey fabric are produced.

Difference Between Warp Knitting and Weft Knitting:

I. Warp knitting used yarns are supplied from the beam and weft knitting used cone for supplied yarn.

II. In warp knitting, the used yarn runs in the horizontal direction .On the other hand, weft knitting the used yarn runs in the vertical direction.
III. Warp knitting is elastic to the length and weft knitting is elastic to the width.
IV. It has less shrinkage than weft knitting and it has higher shrinkage than warp knitting.
V. Warp knitted fabric is too much perfect for the dry wash and Weft knitted fabric is perfect for hand wash.

Warp knitting is a family of knitting methods in which the yarn zigzags along the length of the fabric; i.e., following adjacent columns, or wales, of knitting, rather than a single row, or course. For comparison, knitting across the width of the fabric is called weft knitting.
