  Dear Students,

  Welcome to Electronics Devices and Circuits with Lab (CSE224 and CSE225/224L). Hope you are safe and healthy. I am Md. Arifur Rahman, Lecturer, Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and the course teacher of this wonderful course.

  We all know that this is the all time challenging situation of the world as well as Bangladesh. I am congratulating you all to participate in the world class online DIU BLC Classroom in this pandemic. I will try my best to provide all the necessary supports to you, so that you would be able to learn smoothly and effectively using the available online tools and also using the wonderful tools provided by our beloved institution Daffodil International University.

  Course Description

  This subject is classified under the core engineering group and intended to teach the students practical application of electronics devices and circuits i.e. design, build and test electronic circuits using the knowledge, skills and electronic test and measurement instruments in experimental research. These hand-son experiences will help the students in Digital Electronics, Data Communications, Embedded Systems and IoT, Robotics etc.

  The objective of the course is to equip the students with in-depth basic concepts and understanding of the principles of operation, construction and characteristics of semiconductor devices, and their utilization in basic electronics building blocks (or modules) and their performances practically. The techniques of analysis and design of basic building blocks of modern technology using devices would be emphasized.

  • Course Outcome: (at the end of the course, student will be able to do)

    CO1:   To develop a more exhaustive knowledge and skills of electronics devices those are the basic building blocks of electronic circuits.

    CO2:   To develop knowledge and skills in analysis and design of electronic circuits using electronics devices.

    CO3:   To analyze complex networks of resistors, inductors, capacitors, diodes, transistors and op-amp subject to both direct (non-time-varying) and alternating voltages and currents.

    CO4:   To design, build and test electronic circuit project application utilizing knowledge and skills learned and using electronic test and measurement instruments such as oscilloscopes, function generators, timers, etc. in experimental research.

    CO For Laboratory

    CO1:   To develop hand-son skills and knowledge about the electronic equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, multimeter, timers etc. and electronics devices such as diode, Zener diode, Transistor etc.
    

    CO2:   To implement different types of electronic circuits using the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools vital for engineering practice.
    

    CO3:   To analyze complex networks of resistors, inductors, capacitors, diodes, transistors and op-amp subject to both direct (non-time-varying) and alternating voltages and currents.

    CO4:   To design, build and test electronic circuit project application utilizing knowledge and skills learned and using electronic test and measurement instruments such as oscilloscopes, function generators, timers, etc. in experimental research.
