This is a comprehensive and multidisciplinary course that designed for undergraduate students to equip them
in learning the golden past of Bangladesh, to comprehend contemporary
Bangladesh with a core understanding of politico-economic and socio-cultural landscapes
of the country. The course will deepen students understanding of the complex
interconnection of historical events which lead to the formation of Bangladesh,
the present drift in the state of development and strategic policy orientation
thereby improving critical thinking and prospects on a small state in the Third-World having challenges in governance and democratization along with their writing
and oral communication dexterity, quantitative skills and technical expertise.
It will also enhance their inner vigilant excellence on current phenomena in
the light of genealogical epistemology which will make them a benchmark for
globally connected and locally engaged, competent to meet the challenges of the
21st century.
