Mental health

Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood.

Family support plays a pivotal role in tackling mental health issues

With stronger relationships and family support in mental health recovery, the loved one is set up for success. They can focus more on their mental health and less on their family problems that could be contributing to their disorder or making it worse.

When family relationships are stable and supportive, a person suffering from mental health issues or disorders may be more responsive to treatment. Companionship, emotional support and often even economic support can have a positive impact on someone coping with a mental health problem.

Having a strong network of supportive family and friends helps enhance our mental well-being. Studies have shown that having supportive relationships is a strong protective factor against mental illnesses and helps to increase our mental well-being.
