Ethics refers to the standards of behavior that determine whether a person's actions are right or wrong, honest or dishonest. Ethics in the workplace is defined as the moral code that guides employees' behavior in terms of what is right and wrong in terms of conduct and decision-making. Ethical workplace decision-making considers both the individual employee's best interests and the best interests of those who are impacted. Ethical behavior is characterized by honesty, fairness, integrity, and understanding.

One technique for fostering an ethical workplace culture is to establish a company-wide code of ethics. Ethics can be founded on faith or the desire to make the world a better place. We can display ethical behavior by doing the right thing whether or not we are recognized for it. This conduct is not restricted to the workplace; it may be found in all aspects of life.
