Difference between law and morality

Law refers to a system of rules and regulations enforced by a governing authority, typically backed by the threat of punishment for violations. Morality, on the other hand, pertains to personal or societal beliefs about right and wrong conduct, often influenced by cultural, religious, or philosophical principles. While laws are legally binding and enforced by the state, morality is subjective and varies among individuals and cultures. Not all moral principles are codified into laws, and not all laws are necessarily moral.
