The main purpose of arbitration is to resolve disputes outside of court. It serves as an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) method where parties agree to be bound by the decision of an impartial third-party, the arbitrator. Arbitration is typically sought for its relatively faster, confidential, and expertise-oriented process compared to litigation.
