The main purpose of arbitration is to provide an alternative dispute resolution mechanism outside of the court system. It allows parties to resolve their disputes privately, often faster and more cost-effectively than through traditional litigation. Arbitration also offers flexibility in choosing arbitrators and procedures, as well as confidentiality in proceedings.
