In my windows operating system, my most used 5 different applications are Google Chrome, Microsoft Office, Visual Studio, Adobe Acrobat, and Adobe Photoshop.

Purpose:
1. Chrome: To get personalized search results that appear instantly, to keep me safe and sound with its built-in malware and phishing protection I am using Google chrome in my windows operating system.

2. Microsoft Office: Microsoft Office is a suite of applications designed to help with productivity and completing common tasks on a computer. I can create and edit documents containing text and images, work with data in spreadsheets and databases, and create presentations and posters.

3. Visual Studio: Visual Studio empowers me to complete the entire development cycle in one place. For example, I can edit, debug, test, version control, and deploy to the cloud. With the diversity of features and languages in Visual Studio, I can grow from writing my first piece of code to developing in multiple project types.

4. Adobe Acrobat: Adobe Acrobat is one of the PDF applications that was pioneered by Adobe systems. This software allows me to view PDFs offline and online. It also allows me to create, edit, manage, and print PDF files with ease.

5. For photo editing, graphic design, photo restoration/retouching, photo-realistic drawings, and matte paintings I am using Adobe Photoshop.
