Alcohol: An organic substance formed when a hydroxyl group is substituted for a hydrogen atom in a hydrocarbon.

There are two type of classification.
1st types of classification:
i)Primary alcohol.
ii)Secondary alcohol.
iii)Tertiary alcohol.
2nd types of classification:
i)Monohydric alcohol.
ii)Dihydric alcohol.
iii)Trihydric alcohol.
iv) Polyhydric alcohol.
