What is the main difference of producing primary, secondary and tertiary alcohol?
Ans: The main difference of producing primary, secondary and tertiary alcohol are-
i. For producing primary alcohol we need Formaldehyde that react with Methylmagnesium chloride(CH3MgCl).
ii. For producing secondary alcohol we need Acetaldehyde that react with Methylmagnesium chloride(CH3MgCl).
iii. For producing tertiary alcohol we need Acetone that react with Methylmagnesium chloride(CH3MgCl).

An alcohol is distinguished in primary, secondary or tertiary depending on how many carbons are attached to the carbon bearing the hydroxile. Primary alcohols have no other carbon, secondary ones have one and tertiary alcohols have two.
Examples:
Primary alcohol: If the hydroxyl carbon only has a single R group, it is known as primary alcohol.


It is known as the agricultural and allied sector services

Secondary alcohol :If it has two R groups, it is a secondary alcohol.
It is known as the manufacturing sector

Tertiary alcohol: If it has three R groups, it is a tertiary alcohol.
It is known as the service sector
