Without naturally occurring greenhouse gases, Earth's average temperature would be near 0Β°F (or -18Β°C) instead of the much warmer 59Β°F (15Β°C). The concentration of greenhouse gases, especially carbon dioxide and methane, has fluctuated naturally over geological time scales.

Without any greenhouse gases, earth wouldΒ be an icy wasteland. Greenhouse gasesΒ keep our planet livable by holding onto some of earth's heat energy so that itΒ doesn't all escape into space. This heat trapping is known as the greenhouse effect.Β

CO2 is maintaining the temperature of the globe that's why we can sustain it.

Without greenhouse gases, Earth would be a frozen -18 degrees Celsius. which is a greenhouse gas that works to trap heat close to Earth. It helps Earth hold the energy it receives from the Sun so it doesn't all escape back into space. So, any animal and plant can't survive.
