In this course,we have became familiar with different sorts of theory.The introductory classes are about these theories in short context.Now I will share some of those theories and their features.

1.Formalism:

◑Emphasis on close reading.

◑Emphasis on the rejection of the expressive account of the text.

◑Logically entails a view of literature as a relational system.

2.Deconstructive criticism:

◑Seeks to show that a literary work is self contradictory.

◑Inspire the reader to reexamine.

◑Helps to creat a new meaning of the text.

3.Structuralism :

◑It is a mode of knowledge of nature and human life that is interested in relationship.

◑Things can't be understand in isolation. 

◑It is the unobservable structure that have observable effects on behaviour.

4.Modernism:

◑Increasing dominance of technology.

◑Mourning for the loss of tradition and fragmentation.

◑Breakdown of social norms and cultural values.

5.Feminism :

◑Concerned with impact of gender on writing and reading.

◑Desire for a new literary canon.

◑Deals with female issues.
