Throughout the introductory lesson, I have learned many basic concept of literature and literary theory and characteristics of them.Now i am telling about  five theories. They are:

1.Liberal Humanism:

*It is based on the nature of man and its defects on the society.

* Its main focus on literature and the study of man is the speciality of liberal humanism.

2.Russian Formalism:

* It also use  Literary devices

* focus on the study of poetic language

3.New criticism :

*literature as an aesthetic object independent of historical context

*like the French pedagogical precept

 4.Structuralism:

*The structure is what determines the position of each element of a whole.

* Analyse a text relating it to some larger containing structure

5.Modernism:

*It reflects a sense of cultural crisis

*knowledge is not absolute
