In this course,I have learned basic concept of literature and literary theory and characteristics and  the definition of theory.

  Some main points of the definitions and characteristics of 5 important literary theories--

1. Formalism involves a close reading of the text.All information essential to the interpretation of a work must be found within the work itself.

2. Structuralism was concerned with identifying the units of conscious experience. Based on Wundt’s beginnings this focuses on the structure of the mind and how it works.

3. Deconstructive criticism inspire the reader to re-examine and it helps to creat a new meaning of the text.

4. Liberal Humanism consider the significance of literature as timeless and Study the text in isolation. 

5. Ecocriticism is the study of the relationships between culture and the more than human world. It takes an Earth centered, ecological approach to cultural studies.
