• Deals with clash between classes.
• Articulation of dominant class.
• Sees art and literature as forced by the condition that existed in history.
Structuralism :
• Text can not be understood in isolation
• Analyse a text in terms of the larger context
• Interpret literature with underlying meanings.
Post-structuralism:
• A rebellion against Structuralism
• The system of knowledge Which were coordinated to produce the object
• A critical and comprehensive response to the basic assumptions of Structuralism.
