2.Post-structuralism:
• A rebellion against Structuralism
• The system of knowledge Which were coordinated to produce the object
• A critical and comprehensive response to the basic assumptions of Structuralism.
3.Formalism:
* Formalism is an interpretive approach that emphasized literary form and the literary devices or figure of speeches withing the text.
* According to formalism, author or the context isn't necessary to know. Only the narrative is essential.
* This theory focuses on the study of poetic language.
4.Marxism:
* Karl Marx perceived human history to have consisted of a series of struggles between classes--between the oppressed and the oppressing ("the haves" and "the have-nots").
* Marx thought that materialism was the ultimate driving force in history.
* Feudalism exploits workers to the point of revolt.
5.New Criticism:
* Focuses on the text and argued that literary language is connotative.
* No separation of form and content.
* Considers a text self-contained and autonomous.
