Communication can be defined as the imparting or exchanging of information by speaking, writing, or using some other medium.

Communication can be one way or two-way. One way communication means when only one person is speaking and the other is listening as in communication via Television, while two-way communication means when two or more people are speaking and responding/replying within the same period eg normal conversation and telephone calls. 

In my own view, effective communication can change the face of public health system if people become more informed about their health and wellbeing they will take good measures to prevent themselves from diseases. This will help to have healthier people and minimise the strain on our health facilities.
