Motivational interviewing
Motivation to change varies from person to person, from one situation to another, and over time. Some of us are unwilling, others are unable to change, and many are not fully ready.

is a counselings approach designed to help people find the motivation to make a positive behaviour change. This client-cantered approach is particularly effective for people who have mixed feelings about changing their behaviour.

- Problem recognition: “My use has gotten a little out of hand at times
- Concern: If I don’t stop, something bad is going to happen
