Development and Role of Selling in Marketing

Sale strategist Jill Konrath once noted that “Sales is an outcome, not a goal. It’s a function of doing numerous things right”. Do you agree with this and Why?

I don't agree with this statement because I think "Sales is a goal". When there is goal and if I work to achieve my goal there must get a outcome. By the outcome I can measure that my activities or work correct or not and how can I develop. So, if I able to get a good outcome my goal is achieve ultimately. By the process it's work like a function of doing numerous things right.
