Classification: Image categorization in remote sensing is referred to as classification. It is the task of assigning classifications to all pixels in a remotely sensed image, such as land cover and land usage. 

Supervised Classification: It specifies the classes represented by pixels wrapped in polygons. The number of classes in an image is determined by the user in supervised image classification.
