*Classification : Process of categorizing or grouping pixels within an image acquired through remote sensing technologies, such as satellite or aerial imagery, into distinct land cover or land use classes. This allows analysts and researchers to identify and map different features on the Earth's surface based on their spectral, spatial, and contextual characteristics.

Supervised Classification : This involves the use of training data, where the user identifies and labels sample areas of different classes in the dataset. The software then uses these labeled samples to classify the rest of the data. Common algorithms for supervised classification include Maximum Likelihood, Support Vector Machines, and Random Forests.
