 A hydrogen atom is an atom of the chemical element hydrogen .  The electrically neutral atom contains a single positively charged proton and a single negatively charged electron bound to the nucleus by the coulomb force.Hydrogen is the lightest element in the periodic table. H2 is a gas which forms when two hydrogen atoms bond together and become a hydrogen molecular.H2 is also called  molecular hydrogen .  It contains of two protons and two electrons...H2 is the smallest molecule in the universe.
