Advantage of LCD:

1. The LCD may be constructed in huge sizes, up to 60 inches or 150 centimeters in diagonal.

2. There is no geometric distortion in it.

3. CRT screens are incredibly small, thin, and light.

4. Magnetic fields have no effect on it.

5. Due to the low power consumption, only a little amount of heat is produced during operation.

6. A CRT (cathode ray tube) monitor is substantially thicker.

Disadvantage of LCD:

1. There is a decrease of contrast in high-temperature situations.

2. It is bright, but not bright enough for really bright settings.

3. It used a lot of energy and generated a lot of heat.

4. Individual liquid crystals are used, and they are unable to complete all blocks of the backlight.

5. Color and contrast are inconsistent depending on the viewing angle.
