Environmental resource management refers to the strategic and responsible planning, utilization, and protection of natural resources and ecosystems to ensure their sustainability and minimize negative environmental impacts. It involves various practices and policies aimed at achieving a balance between human needs and the preservation of the environment.Thare are many typers of environmental resources. some of are-

Renewable Resources: These are resources that can be naturally replenished over time, such as sunlight, wind, forests, and fisheries. Environmental resource management for renewable resources includes sustainable harvesting, reforestation, and responsible fishing practices.

Non-Renewable Resources: These are finite resources, like fossil fuels (coal, oil, natural gas) and minerals (e.g., iron, copper). Management involves minimizing waste, increasing efficiency, and seeking alternatives to reduce dependency.

Water Resources: Managing water resources includes protecting water quality, conserving freshwater ecosystems, and promoting responsible water use for agriculture, industry, and households.

Land Resources: Land use planning and zoning regulations help manage land resources, balancing urban development, agriculture, and conservation.

Energy Resources: Management of energy resources involves promoting energy efficiency, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and transitioning to cleaner and renewable energy sources.
