Article 141 A of the Constitution describes the circumstances ubder which emergency can be proclaimed.If the President is satisfied that a grave emergency exists in which the security or economic life of Bangladesh or any part there of is threatened by-
1.War
2.External Aggression
3.Internal Disturbance
He may issue a Proclamation of Emergency
Article 141(B)
According to Article 141(B) some fundamental rights can be suspended during the time of Emergency.
Article 36-Freedom of movement
Article 37- Freedom of Assembly
Article 38- Freedom of Association
Article 39- Freedom of thought
Article 40- Freedom of Profession
Article 42- Right to Property
If a law is made contrary to these six rights they shall be deemed to be suspended during the continuance of an Emergency.
