This is an introductory course of real estate which provides an overview of real estate sector where the fundamental concepts of business and economics will be introduced. The course will provide an overview of Bangladesh and international business topics as well as ethical issues related to Real Estate business.
The course is planned to acquaint the students of business school to understand the principles of microeconomics. It provides the basic concepts of economic thinking and activities. It helps to understand the economic analysis that assist students to make effective decision.
Rationale:
Students of BRE always prefer to work in a real estate company or a related business industry with a vision to attain the top most position the area. In addition, many of them nurture a dream to become an entrepreneur. Thus, they require an in-depth knowledge of company orientation and various management philosophy to independently operate a construction unit or own business. In particular, this course attempts to provide an in-depth insight of how a small to large scale real estate companies can be managed effectively from the stage of its inception to a full capacity project operation with multiple functional lines. At large, it would strengthen students knowledge about business management from the perspective of company orientation, basics of business operation, production economics, fanatical and banking management as well as human resources management. In addition, this course will also help students to get familiar with different terminologies used in business organizations especially in real estate industries.
