This course focuses on understanding the basic Chemistry and its application in Engineering fields. It discuss about the structure of atom, periodic table, chemical bonding, acid-base and pH indicator, chemical equilibrium, solvents and solutions and properties of water and aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbon.

Apparel Manufacturing III is a major course especially for the students who are willing to study Apparel Manufacturing as their advanced stream. This course is designed with different types of wet and dry process of garments washing including their purposes, requirements, effects, costing. This course also contents a brief description of garments dyeing and tinting. Finally this course is ended with brief description of buyers required garments testing and TQM in different sections of an apparel industry. By the end of this course it is expected that the student will be able to:
* Explain the fundamentals of garments washing, garment dyeing and garments testing
* Explain the detailed procedure of various washing techniques, dyeing techniques, identifying the washing faults and their remedies.
* Can perform different types of wet and dry processes of garments washing.
* Evaluate the results of the garments test.
