Course Objective:
The course is designed to enhance the practical
knowledge of the students and to make a bridge between the theoretical and
practical areas of fabric manufacturing technology.
Content:
Weaving:
- Study on plain power shuttle loom, study on gearing
diagram of plain power shuttle loom and calculate the rpm of bottom shaft and
crank shaft, draw and discuss on tappet shedding mechanism, experiment on Dobby
shedding mechanism, experiment on side lever under picking mechanism, study on
crank and crank arm beat up mechanism, experiment on let off mechanism of plain
power shuttle loom, study on 7-wheel take up mechanism and calculate the PPI of
plain power shuttle loom.
Knitting:
- Study on the function of VDQ pulley of circular
knitting machine, experiment on positive feeder of circular knitting machine,
experiment on take down mechanism of circular knitting machine, calculate the
production of single jersey circular knitting machine (assume the necessary
data).
