The importance of Applied epidemiology in Public health:

Public health is a very important issue to deal with. All the public health components can be well checked by epidemiologists. The public health services provide a framework to secure health issues in all communities. Epidemiologists can assess and monitor population health status, factors that influence health and community needs and assets.

Investigating, diagnosing and addressing health problems that are hazardous to the population is another crucial work for epidemiologists. They can also communicate effectively with the population to inform and educate about health, factors that influence and improve probable situation. Strengthening and building effective support systems is another work done by epidemiologists. Epidemiological practices and the results of epidemiological analyses create a strong contribution in health services.

Modern health service framework needs various skills of which epidemiological practice and analysis plays the role of core component which unified with management to provide efficient health guidance to population.

From the discussion we can infer that the role of epidemiologists in public health sector is too much important for building a healthy and potential disease-risk free society.
