Section outline

    • Rationale:

For both wired and wireless distant communication, Modulation is an obvious need. To transmit the signal in far way with higher data rate and in secured way, digital modulation is an essential tool. Different and special kinds of modulation techniques are needed to be learned. In addition, different kinds of channel sharing techniques and their business essentials are also needed to be studied. These will help them to select better modulation and access techniques for relevant modern systems.

      Objectives:

      1. To build clear concept about digital modulation techniques

      2. To build clear concept on different kinds of multiplexing and access techniques.

      3. Able to analyze hands-on problems using digital Communication.

      4. Able to calculate the maximum achievable data rate for a given system.

      5. Able to calculate required BW and Power for a communication system.

      6. Able to relate various problems on higher level course.

      7. To improve communication skill through presentation.

      8. To develop leadership quality through Group work.

      9. To build up decision making ability through assignment.

    • Guidelines:

      • All the students registered for this course have to enroll in Moodle
      • There are in total 28 lectures in this course.
      • Students can find all the course materials from Moodle.
      • All the students have to submit the soft copy of their assignment in Moodle  and for this they will be graded here.
      • One discussion or feedback forum is created under each of the Class Lectures. Students have to give their feedback on these forum.
      • Any announcement regarding the class will be posted or make up on Moodle. So they have to keep themselves always active on Moodle.
      • All the quizzes  will be held on face to face in class.
      • Assessment and marks distribution criteria is given under this section.
