  • Objectives of the Course

    The aim of this course is to orient and familiarize the conceptual links between development policy and governance in the context of policymaking processes. The course also attempts to give a broader understanding and practice of public policies while emphasizing the role of private sector and non-state actors in the process of development. Policy governance is discussed throughout the semester in reference to policy making and development.


    • Objectives of the Week

      To enable learning partners to grasp the basics of interconnectedness and differences among the concepts (Idea, Concept, Theory, School of Thought, Development, Mal-development, Discourse, Paradigm, Welfare vs. wellbeing.) in development studies.

    • Learning Outcomes 

      Learning partners will be easily able to learn the theories and models that will be taught during the later classes of the semester.

      1. Books on Public Policy and downloaded from the internet and shared further reading.
      2. Other books related to any particular issue are suggested and shared as and when necessary.
