Announcement on COVID-19
Dear all
We are facing new challenges due to affected by COVID 19. As all of you know, this is an emergency and we are trying to adapt ourselves to this situation. Therefore, we are using this platform (BLC). It will work as a course repository while all of our online classes will be taken through G-suits (various online platforms like google meet/ hangout/ video presentation).
For your concern, the course teacher will try to take all of the three quizzes on this platform. There will be two quizzes before the mid-term exam and one quiz after the mid-term examination. All the assignments and presentations should be submitted by the students through the soft copy before the midterm examination on this platform. The topics of individual assignment and presentation should be decided by the individual student after consulting the course teacher.
The course teacher will give the course materials, slides, and class activities before a particular online class being started to be taken. Being a student, you need to read all those materials to understand the class. She will give lectures online and in those lectures, she will inform the direction of what should be your next step and what materials you should go through further and what activities you need to submit. She will use this platform to give the notice. Check them properly.
We must try ourselves best and we should act together. We will win by the grace of Almighty. Inshaallah, our hope for a new morning will come soon.
Introductory Note
This course deals with public international law related issues. The origin of public international law is the Charter of the United Nations, customary international laws, various international treaties etc.. There are certain minimum standards in international law which should be followed by evert state. It requires States to implement these minimum standards within their domestic legal systems. The course will examine these implementation issues and how Bangladesh is responding to this implementation procedure. The objectives of this course are to study international laws from the perspectives of Bangladesh, i.e., how to practice and implement these rights in Bangladesh. We would like to know all the loopholes and areas of correction in this arena after the successful completion of this course.
Instructions/ Guidelines for the Students
All the Students registered for this course have to enroll in the BLC.
Students can find all the course materials from the BLC and Google Classroom.
All the students have to submit the soft copy of their "Assignment" in the BLC under the assignment section created here.
One discussion forum is created for each of the lecture. Students have to give their feedback on these forum.
Any announcement regarding the class will be posted on the notice board in the BLC. So the students have to keep themselves always engaged in the BLC.
All the quizzes and presentation will be held in the BLC. All the classes will be held through Google Meet online. The class schedule will be followed according to the class routine. The announcement of class and the link of google meet of each class will be given in the messenger group of the Social Media before the class.
The assessment plan, the syllabus and the question pattern for the quizzes, mid-term exam and the final exam have been given here in the BLC for your scrutiny and better understanding. Students should go through it.
Course Objectives
The course titled 'Intellectual Property Law' mainly focuses on intellectual property laws which include trademark, patent, copyright, geographical indication, appellation of origin, UPOV.
The objectives of intellectual property law are as follows:
- To know the history and background of international law.
- To know the nature and scope of international law.
- To know all the essential matters related to international politics having an impact on international law.

Course Requirements
The Course teacher will upload all the documents needed in the Blended Learning Center (BLC). All students must complete the reading assignments which are given as 'Lecture Notes' on each topic. There is a slide on each topic. After reading the slide, you may watch the video lecture. Then, you should do the course activity; while doing that, if you face any problem, you may discuss it in the discussion forum included in each topic. Additional reading materials may be assigned in the class. Meaningful class participation is highly encouraged and may be a factor in the final course grade.
Please maintain the chronological steps while studying this course.

- Write down your comments/compliments/problems in the discussion forum.
The course teacher will let you know if there will be any change in the assessment process.
- Attendance marks will be given if you take part in the discussion forum - 7
- Presentation marks will be given if you upload a video presentation on time - 8
- Assignment marks will be given if you upload an assignment on time - 5
- Quiz marks will be given if you take part in the quizzes on time - 15 (average of the 3 quizzes)
- The procedure of the midterm examination will be announced before it will happen - 25
- The procedure of the Final examination will be announced before it will happen - 40

will be created before the mid-term and final examination for analyzing both
the question and exam methods.
