Course Description /Rational:
This course is intended to deal with basic video foundation. This will focus on pre-production,
production and post-production skills and techniques. The course aims to develop professionalism,
leadership and teamwork among students. During the semester, this course will enable students
with knowledge of telling compelling stories in the areas of news, corporate video making, and
social media contents.
Course Objectives:
After completion of the required course materials, the student should be able to:
Have a command of wide ranging, specialized technical, creative and/or conceptual skills
by developing and broadening their practical skills in working in a single/multi-camera,
film-style production environment;
Formulate appropriate responses to resolve well defined and abstract problems by
critically evaluating their individual role in working with a single camera within the wider
context of industry norms and constraints;
Analyze, reformat and evaluate a wide range of information by criticizing their own
production work in the context of single/multi-camera production
Demonstrate wide-ranging, specialized knowledge of research and production techniques in
relation to single/multi-camera production and editing
