      Welcome to the virtual classroom of MGT 101 for spring 2022. I hope you are staying safe and healthy through these unusual times. My name is Nujhat Anjum Ani and I will be your instructor for this course. For your convenience, all the relevant course materials will be uploaded in the blended learning Centre from time to time.       Instructions/Guideline for the course:

      • All the students registered for this course have to enroll in Moodle
      • Students can find all the course materials from Moodle.
      • All the students have to submit the soft copy of their "Assignment" in Moodle under  assignment section created here and for this they will be graded here.
      • One discussion or feedback forum is created under each of the lecture Students have to give their feedback on these forum and marks will be given for their feedback.
      • Any announcement regarding the class will be posted on Moodle. So they have to keep themselves always active on Moodle
      • All the quizzes and presentation will be held on online and it will be announced in the online class .
      • The question pattern and the syllabus for the quizzes, midterm and final exam is given here under each of the section (quizzes, midterm and final)
      • There are midterm and final exam prepartion forum under these sections where students can discuss with each other about their midterm and final exam syllabus, any problem regarding the exam etc.


    • Course Objectives:

      The course aims to provide students with the basic managerial knowledge necessary for Business student. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to: 

      A. Demonstrate theoretical knowledge in management course.

       B. Gain practical skills and personal attributes and competencies that is required for managerial position.

       C. Describe the four management functions of planning, organizing, leading, and controlling. 

      D. Outline the historical evolution of management theories. 

      E. Explain how decisions are made within an organization and how those decisions are communicated to the various stakeholders.

       F. Relate the basic concepts of planning: the importance of planning, strategic planning, and the types of objectives and plans developed by organizations.

       G. Describe the various forms of structure available to an organization. 

      H. Describe the control process including: the importance of control, tools for measuring organizational performance, and managerial actions.

       I. Understand analytical, developmental, managerial and technical skills relate to Managing organizations.

    • Course Overview

      The course of Fundamentals of Management is planned to discuss management theories, concepts, techniques, and practices in the context of complex, dynamic, changing and globalizing business world. Applying the functional or process approach to the study of management, the discussion will cover all main management functions: planning, organizing, directing and controlling. This will prepare students with a framework for understanding and analyzing the nature of managerial works and the determining factors of managerial success

      A. Acquire knowledge of key principles of management and able to critically apply this knowledge to the analysis of a complex case study.

      Dear students,
      Please read the following instructions carefully for your convenience:

      ●Guidelines for the final exam question-answer pattern:

      • Final exam of  MGT 101 will be taken combining both MCQ (15X1=15 marks) & broad (5X5=25 marks) questions. 
      • Word limit for broad questions: maximum2 Pages per question
      • Some of the questions will be critical and explorative; therefore the students are being 
        advised to use their own words while writing.
      • Students are being advised not to make the answers unreasonably too lengthy, due to a  limited time-frame.
      • Exam hours should not be exceeding 3hour 30Miniutes minutes
      • Some additional time might be given to the students for uploading their answer scripts in case of emergency  like power failure. But you need to inform me immediately to avail the facility.

    • Script guideline:

      All kinds of information like name ID, section ,time date of exam. etc it should be mentioned properly like

      the given file.

      Exam guidelines(Question is attached in PDF format)

      1. At first download the question file.

      2. Read the question carefully and try to answer the question by using your own. judgement

      and knowledge .

      3. After completion of exam scan the answer scripts by using cam scanner app.

      4. Merge All the pdf files and make into 1 file.

      5. Rename the PDF file (only Id,like-211-11-6117)

      6. submit one file within the time limit

      7. Adoption of unfair means is highly Prohibited.

      8.Answer must be in hand written.
