All courses reflect curriculum for excellence values, purposes and principles. As a Textile Engineer, every student should have the knowledge about testing of different raw materials for textiles. They also should have the knowledge about quality control parameter for all of those raw materials.
By the end of this course, the student will be able to perform different tests at every stage of yarn manufacturing like linear density measurement of lap, sliver, roving and yarn, measurement of count and twist etc.
-
Objectives:
To learn about atmospheric condition for testing
To determine sliver & roving count
To determine yarn count in various processes
To identify moisture regain
To determine yarn twist
etc.
Outcomes:
At the end of the lecture, students will be able to-
know the procedure of determining atmospheric temperature
know the procedure of determining MR%
know the procedure of determining sliver & roving count
know the procedure of determining yarn count in various methods
know the procedure of determining moisture in textile materials
know the procedure of determining yarn twist
