  • Welcome Note

    Dear Students,
This is Mohammad Tauhiduzzaman, will be teaching engineering drawing in the Fall 2023 semester. This course entails hand drawing and AutoCAD drawing depending on different types of drawing modules such as orthographic, isometric, oblique etc.
    Thank you

    General Course Description
    Course Title: Engineering Drawing Sessional

    Course Code: TE 228
    Credit hours: 2
Course Level: Level 2 Term 2

Course Objectives: The course is designed to synchronize and enhance the knowledge of the students about understanding drawing related to engineering fields, how to read them, how to draw them and understand different views and dimensions.

    Course Content:
Basic Drawing: Lines, lettering, dimension, geometrical construction, conic section, engineering curves; Orthographic Projections: Projection, orthographic projection, sectional view, auxiliary view; Projections: Projections of points, projection of straight lines, projection of planes, projection of solids; Isometric Projections: Principle of isometric projection, isometric view, dimensioning, conversion of orthographic view to isometric view; Oblique Projection: Direction of projectors, dimensioning oblique drawing, oblique projections; Perspective Projections: Application of perspective, characteristic feature of perspective projections, method of drawing perspective view CAD: CAD application, software, introduction to AutoCAD, setting up drawing space, draw panel, construction panel, elementary drawing.

  • Please find attached drawing and provide the orthographic views by next Thursday (16/11/2023)

    • What is the angle considered to develop the isometric drawing

  • Instructions on lab report submission
    • Lab report must be submitted on each day after short discussion

    • Hands-on drawing requires appropriate drawing paper with the drawing and student information at the right corner
    • AutoCAD drawing requires printed report of the drawing in ANSI (8.5 in*11 in) format
    • Each student should use 2B pencil for hands-on lab report

  • Instructions on Lab Performance

    • Lab performance relies on successful lab report submission over the course of the semester
    • Each student must submit the drawing considered as lab report to secure full marks
    • Late submitted lab report will secure 70% of the total marks assigned to lab report
    • Fail to submit lab report will cause poor lab performance remarks

  • Lab final exam will include:
    • Hands-on drawing of orthographic projection
    • Hands-on drawing of isometric view
    • Qualitative test on the basic of drawing
    • MCQ question on the covered topics
