    • Course Description:

      The course aims at making students familiar with the history of emergence of Bangladesh as a sovereign state as well as the emergence of Bangla as the state language.

    • Course Objectives: After completing this course, students will be able to:

      * identify and explain the main events of the history of Bangladesh since the battle of plassey (1757) to the creation of Bangladesh as a sovereign state in 1971.

      * identify and explain the background of the partition of India in 1947.

      * identify and explain the inevitability of the emergence of Bangladesh as a sovereign state.

      * identify and explain the early history of Bangladesh for the enlargement of their understanding with patriotism  towards the national integration and advancement.

    • Learning Outcomes:

      * Students will be able to identify and explain the main events of the history of Bangladesh of this period.

      * Students will be able to identify and explain the origin and evaluation through different paradigms of Bangla  language.

      * Students will be able to identify and explain the inevitability of the emergence of Bangladesh as a sovereign state.

      * Students will be able to identify and explain the early history of Bangladesh for the enlargement of their understanding with patriotism towards the national integration and advancement.
