In the year 2020, the Government of Bangladesh had made it mandatory for hostels and canteens in educational institutions of Dhaka to secure Bangladesh Food Safety Authority license to ensure food safety. As the educational institutions also get categorized as food business operators in the event of the annual turnover of the hostels, they run exceeding TK. 20 lakh per annum.
In context of the above case:

1.     Identify and explain the various dimensions of business environment being referred to here.

According to The political & Legal Dimension a company can not do anything which they want. The legal system partially defines what a company can do & can not do.

So we can say that, the above case follow The political & legal Dimension of Business Environment.

In my opinion the first one is corporate business environment but in our country it is not common to implement in any educational institution. 

Secondly, I found educational business environment. Here we can see hotels and canteen are doing good in  business.

One is corporate business environment which is not being practiced in educational institutions another one is educational business environment where the canteen and hotels are doing a good number profit all through the year . Educational institutions also get categorized as food business operation in the event of the annual turnover of the hotels , they are running exceeding 20 lacs per annum .

Economic, social, legal, technical and political circumstances are included in the aspects or agents forming the market climate that are properly considered for decision-making and improving the achievement of the trading concern. These components, unlike the precise climate, represent the predominant environment, which also affects several businesses at the same time.

Economic dimension              is the overall health and vitality of the economic system in which the organization operates.

Political-legal dimension       is the extent of government regulation of business and the general relationship between business and government.

In this case study i can find that 

Legal Environment:

It includes various laws passed by the government, administrative orders issued by government authorities, court judgments as well as decisions rendered by the central, state or local governments.

Political Environment:

It means that the actions were taken by the government, which potentially affect the routine activities of any business or company on a domestic or at the global level.

In the above scenario, the dimensions of business environment being referred to here are:
1. Economic dimension is the overall health and vitality of the economic system in which the organization operates.
2. Sociocultural dimension includes the customs, mores, values, and demographic characteristics of the society in which the organization functions.
3. Political-legal dimension is the extent of government regulation of business and the general relationship between business and government.

Social and legal dimensions must be followed, in this case this dimensions are mentioned. They go against social norms which is not acceptable.

It includes various laws passed by the government, administrative orders issued by government authorities, court judgments as well as decisions rendered by the central, state or local governments.

Understanding of legal knowledge is a pre-requisite for the smooth functioning of business and industry.

Understanding the legal environment by business houses help them not to fall in a legal tangle.

The legal environment includes various laws like Companies Act 2013, Consumer Protection Act 1986, Policies relating to licensing & approvals, Policies related to foreign trade etc.

The various dimensions of business environment being referred to in the above case are as follows:

Political Environment: Political environment includes political conditions such as general stability and peace in the country and specific attitudes that elected government representatives hold towards business.
Legal Environment: Legal environment includes various legislations passed by the government administrative orders issued by government authorities, court judgments as well as the decisions rendered by various commissions and agencies at every level of the government -Center, State or Local .

As Govt. Has taken it as compulsory so its political and Legal Environment, as new law is passed by the Bangladesh Goverment. And as well as its a part of a dimension of economic development. Government took it as a Policy so that its definitely refers more conducting for every institution.

From my point of view I think these dimensions are economic and political-legal because of the below reasons:
