Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) is the procedure for settling disputes without litigation, such as arbitration, mediation, or negotiation. ADR procedures are usually less costly and. Moreover, the term alternative dispute resolution (ADR) means any procedure, agreed to by the parties of a dispute, in which they use the services of a neutral party to assist them in reaching agreement and avoiding litigation. The most common types of ADR are mediation, conciliation, arbitration and adjudication.

ADR means an alternative settlement procedure outside of the court. It is a method that encompasses numerous methods and techniques aimed to resolve disputes. 

 The types of ADR – 1) Negotiation – there have no third party .only parties who have dispute settle this dispute.

 2) Mediation- there have a third party who settle the dispute as mediator.

 3) Arbitration- it is one of the method ADR. There third party called arbitrator and his award is final, no appeal applicable against this award.
