Definition of Health Economics: 

Health economics is the discipline that determines the price and the quantity of limited financial and non-financial resources devoted to the care of the sickness and the promotion, maintenance and improvement of health.

Health economics is concerned with issues related to efficiency, effectiveness, value and behavior in the production and consumption of health and healthcare, and generally deals with the purpose and planning of budgeting which is required to be done in the health care delivery system for providing health care.

The aim of health economics is to quantify overtime the resources used in health care delivery system and to organize, allocate and manage the resources properly.
