Two types of classification are occur-Open chain(alicyclic),close chain(cyclic)

@Tisha Akter Tunni Organic Compounds can mainly be classified into two types: 1) Aliphetic organic compounds & 2) Arometic organic compounds.
Aliphetic organic compounds can be classified into two types:
1) Open chain compounds
2) Cyclic compounds (Cyclo propane, cyclo butane, cyclo pentane)

Open chain compounds can again be classified into two types:
1) Straight chain ( n-butane, n-pentane)
2) Branching ( 2-methylpropane)

Open chain compounds can be classified into two types on the basis of saturation:
1) Saturated organic compounds (Alkane)
2) Unsaturated organic Compounds.

Unsaturated Organic compounds can be classified into two types:
1) Alkene
2) Alkyne.
