Negligence:
A failure to behave with the level of care that someone of ordinary prudence would have exercised under the same circumstance. It means nothing else but carelessness.
According to Winfield and Jolowicz :
Negligence is the breach of a legal duty to take care which results in damage, undesired by the defendant to the plaintiff.
