The language movement was one of the first movement against the discrimination against Bengali people. Dhirendranath Dutta, a member of the Pakistan Constituent Assembly, first raised the demand for making Bengali an official language of Pakistan along with Urdu.and also The Bengali language movement was a political movement in former East Bengal advocating the recognition of the Bengali language as an official language of the then-Dominion of Pakistan to allow its use.According to the World Bank, there was much economic discrimination against East Pakistan, including
