In this chapter, I learned about the national differences in political economy. Political systems vary, with some countries having democratic systems that emphasize freedom, while others are totalitarian, focusing on control. Economic systems also differ, with market economies relying on supply and demand, and command economies being government-controlled. Legal systems vary in how they enforce laws and protect rights.

I also learned about individualism vs. collectivism—some societies prioritize individual freedom, while others value group goals. Lastly, the chapter compared democracy, which promotes people's participation, to communism, which seeks equality through government control. These differences shape how countries operate and interact globally.
