The lecture on microeconomic goals of a country was insightful and well-structured. The explanation of the various objectives, such as efficiency, equity, and stability, was clear and easy to understand. Poverty in Bangladesh is a major issue. Approximately 40% of the population lives below the poverty line, with many people living in extreme poverty. Poverty is caused by a lack of access to resources, education, and jobs, as well as by extreme weather events such as floods and cyclones. In order to help reduce poverty, the government of Bangladesh has implemented numerous initiatives, such as providing access to microcredit and social protection programs, investing in health and education, and providing skills training to help people find jobs. The explanations were comprehensive and easy to follow, and the examples used to illustrate the points were helpful.

Poverty in Bangladesh remains a major challenge in 2021. According to the World Bank, nearly 32.2% of Bangladesh's population lives below the poverty. In addition to this, the recent impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has had a devastating effect on the country's economy and people's livelihoods. This has had a disproportionate effect on vulnerable communities, including those living in poverty. The government of Bangladesh has taken a number of steps to combat poverty. However, the country still faces the challenge of creating enough jobs to lift people out of poverty and reduce inequality.

I learned About this chapter Poverty remains a significant challenge in Bangladesh, with around 20% of the population living below the poverty line. Factors contributing to poverty include limited access to education and healthcare, low levels of productivity in the agriculture sector, and natural disasters. The government and international organizations have implemented a range of programs and policies to address poverty, but more work is needed to ensure that all Bangladeshis have access to the resources and opportunities needed to lift themselves out of poverty As well as Bangladesh is a developing country with a growing economy, largely driven by the garment and textile industries. The country has made significant progress in recent years, with GDP growth averaging around 6-7% annually. However, challenges remain, including weak infrastructure, low productivity, and limited access to finance for small and medium-sized businesses.
