The endeavor of the course is to study in detail those aspects of public international law that relates to foreign investment. This course aims to provide an overview of the central topics of international investment law. Students will understand the emergence of international investment treaties and also analyze the substantive principles of investment law such as the Most-favoured nation (MFN), National treatment, fair and equitable treatment, and the prohibition on expropriation.
Concepts and notations from discrete mathematics are useful in studying and describing objects and problems in all branches of ICE, such as computer algorithms, programming languages, cryptography, automated theorem proving, and software development. It helps to improve reasoning power and problem-solving skills.
