The Bangladesh Studies is a
multi-disciplinary course that based on the first theme is the inevitability of
the emergence of Bangladesh as a state entity in the context of a long
historical background starting from the Stone Age; and the second themes draws
attention to the experience of Bangladesh as a small state in the Third World
in governance and democratization. The course contents are arranged and
presented in a way that avoid unnecessary factual details, and emphasize major
themes and tends to get across the twin objectives to students. The students
attending this course are expected to be made aware of the past and present of
Bangladesh for the enlargement of their knowledge to face 21st
century.
